The Sheridan County Soccer Association (SCSA) would like to welcome you to the world of club soccer. Since this may seem like a very big step for you and your child, we wanted to give you a little information about what to expect when you join one of the Sheridan Storm Soccer teams.

The association will be hosting The Snickers Cup tournament at the Big Horn Equestrian Center Mother’s Day weekend. Additional tournaments may be scheduled and those are optional. Each team decides if they would like to go on a case-by-case basis.

The registration fees for club soccer are minimal. Because all coaches and board members are volunteers, the fees are mainly for referees for league games, and a state association fee. The fees also cover other incidental items such as field paint, replacement nets, balls and first aid kits are also covered under the registration fees. As with any other sport, there will be some expenses that each player will have to incur. Uniforms, socks, shin guards, cleats and entry fees into optional tournaments are expenses you should expect to pay for. Even with all of the expenses above, Sheridan’s fees are actually among the lowest in the state.

You will be amazed at how much your child will improve from just one season of club soccer. Registration for the spring season takes place in February; watch the local newspaper and this website for updates. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask anyone in the association.

We are looking forward to having your child join our soccer program.
Competitive soccer is for focused, highly motivated players, who want to experience the enjoyment and developmental benefits that come from trained coaches, a high volume of soccer, and training and competing with and against other focused, achievement-oriented players.

Competitive players train regularly to develop soccer skills and training habits that will enable them to acquire a sense of mastery and competence (with a focus on long-term rather than short-term development), and to compete successfully in inter-club competitions. Players are expected to come prepared with a willingness to learn and a good attitude as well as regularly attend practices. When a player becomes part of Storm Soccer’s competitive soccer program, they begin a journey that ultimately not only strengthens their game, but also teaches the life skills of teamwork, dedication, friendship and being part of a supportive community.
Photo: You will need to upload a CURRENT headshot of your child at the time of registration. This is a very important step and one that should be done every year when you register. It’s easy to snap a head only shot of your child with your phone and add it. These photos go onto the State Soccer Player Cards that will be checked by tournament officials for eligibility. Below are the requirements for photos. These photos will be pretty small on the player cards so a photo zoomed out with the full body WILL NOT WORK. 1. Head and shoulders - forward facing 2. Try to take the photo with good lighting if possible 3. No other people in the photos 4. No headwear like hats, sunglasses, etc. 5. Please make sure the photo is current

Birth Certificate: A photo or scan of your child’s birth certificate is needed at the time of registration. These are kept highly confidential in the gotsoccer program. They are needed in order to verify your child’s age for eligibility for competition in tournaments. Please see the Player Verification PDF (download button) for a complete step-by-step tutorial.

NOTE: If either of these items are not uploaded before the first tournament your child will not be eligible to play.

Payment: You can pay online for the season's fees or you can mail a check to: Sheridan County Soccer Association, PO Box 6755, Sheridan, WY 82801

NOTE: We expect payment in full prior to the first tournament unless prior arrangements have been made.
1. New Users - Family Registration - click “Create Family Account” (once you click the button to the right)

2. Once that account is created you will receive a confirmation email - once you are logged into your family account you will click the blue button “Add Player to Family” and do that for each child you want to register.

3. Once you have imported the player to the family account, you will see the linked player listed under the Family Members section.

4. Once you click on the individual player you should see an option to sign up for the current season.

5. For each player we require a headshot image to be uploaded - which is used for player cards that are checked before each tournament. Head and shoulders shot without hat is needed - if you don’t have a current one just snap one with your phone - drivers license style. We also need a birth certificate uploaded to confirm eligibility for age brackets. This birth certificate only needs uploaded once and then it is kept in the gotsoccer system in your account. A scan or phone photo is fine as long as it legible.

6. All Players must be registered by February 18, 2019. Registrations received after this date will be accepted only by the approval of the Board as needed to fill out teams and subject to a late fee. We often arrange teams according to numbers and often teams are at max roster size. Payment MUST be made prior to the first tournament.
1. Our club will form teams after registration is closed by following our player placement policy. Your child will either be placed on teams according to the US Youth Soccer Birth Age Matrix or if applicable age group their team will be formed after 1-2 weeks of practice with their age group.

2. We will also work to appoint coaches. All efforts are made to do this in a timely fashion however, each coach is required to complete and pass a state background check as well as concussion training. Team information will not be released to the coach until their background checks are cleared.

3. The coach will contact you about practice, team meetings, and game schedules at this point.

4. You will need to order you player's uniform (see uniform page for ordering information). You DO NOT need to know your player's number before you order a uniform. Storm will take care of assigning numbers.

1. Do NOT create a new account – use your existing log-in credentials (previously emailed to you or you)

2. Log into your family account and find your child you are wanting to register - click on their names and proceed to the registration you are signing up for.

3. Make sure you upload a CURRENT photo fo your child. Kids change a lot from year to year and we need to make sure the photos look like your child so we don't risk them not being able to play at a tournament because their player card's photo doesn't look like them.

4. At this point please make sure your contact info is up to date within your account.

5. The coach will contact you about practice, team meetings, and game schedules in the near future once the teams have been formed, coaches appointed and they have retained an approved background check.
